Data Engineer (Remote) @ MAKA

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and systems. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines to support various data processing and analysis needs.
• Implement scalable and efficient data storage solutions, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design appropriate solutions.
• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle by implementing robust validation and monitoring processes.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies and best practices to improve data engineering processes and infrastructure.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining data pipelines and systems.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and related services like AWS Glue, Google BigQuery, or Azure Data Factory.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
