Job Summary
The Truck Mechanic is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing the organisation’s fleet of trucks. The role ensures vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and fix mechanical, electrical, and engine faults in trucks
- Carry out routine servicing such as oil changes, brake checks, and engine inspections
- Perform regular vehicle inspections to detect faults early
- Keep accurate maintenance records and report major repair needs
- Ensure all repair works meet safety and operational standards
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE or a Technical/Vocational qualification in Automobile Mechanics
- 2 – 4 years’ experience in truck or heavy-duty vehicle maintenance
- Relevant certification in Automobile or Heavy-Duty Mechanics is an added advantage
- Good understanding of truck engines, braking systems, and mechanical parts
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
