Description
- Ensure Data Availability and Data Security
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design stable, reliable and effective database using Oracle, PostgreSQL, MYSQL DB and MSSQL.
- Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices.
- Gather user requirements and identify new features
- Database Query review, implement proper indexing
- Prepare ETL Scripts and migrate data from one database to another database
- Provide data management support to users
- Contribute to design & overall product architecture
- Solve database usage issues and malfunctions
- Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
- Carry out daily database backup, data recovery and restore as well as data replication.
- Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
Job Requirements
- Education: BSc / HND Graduate with an Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics, Information Technology degree
- Others: A Professional Certification in ORACLE, POSTGRESQL, MSSQL, MYSQL is an added advantage
- Experience: 4 – 6 years’ work experience as a DBA
